Sustainable financing
A comprehensive strategy for sustainable financing will be
investigated and developed. This work will be
carried out in line with new initiatives and
opportunities presented under new funding structures
such like Clean Development Mechanisms for the
EcoRegion and the establishment of Trust Funds for
the EcoRegion.
Sustainable financing mechanisms will take a number of
different forms determined by the level of mechanism
and implementation. Sustainable financing at the
local level will take the form of fees, taxes and
revenue shares, at the Regional level within
concession based financial arrangements, and at the
National level under international mechanisms and
agreements.
