SSLFM has completed baseline survey
The
Strengthening Sustainable Livelihoods
and Forest Management (SSLFM) Programme
has completed it’s baseline survey, to
be used as a point of reference for
ongoing monitoring of SSLFM’s progress.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Consultant Edward Stevens explained
that, Participatory Forest Management (PFM),
livelihoods, and policy support are key
issues addressed in the study.
He also listed four
components of the survey which explore
the current situation, existing
institutional capacity, and policy and
livelihoods situations at each new
forest site.
“Subsequent to the
completion of this PFM Baseline Survey
Report”, said Mr. Stevens, “SSLFM’s M
and E team came together with other
relevant staff from the four
implementing regions in order to
thoroughly review and finalise both the
baseline report, and the M and E plan
for the duration of the programme’s life
time into 2014.”
SSLFM is a five-year EU-funded
programme that operates in Amhara,
Benishangul Gumuz, Oromia, and the
Southern Nations, Nationalities and
Peoples Region (SNNPR), in areas well
endowed with natural resources.
