International Conference On Participatory Forest Management, Biodiversity and Livelihoods in Africa

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ethiopia in collaboration with the Oromia and Southern Nations Nationalities and People’s Regional Governments, the Participatory Forest Management Programme of FARM-Africa and SOS Sahel Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Foresters' Association, GTZ, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Ethiopian Coffee Forest Forum, Forum for Environment, and Non-Timber Forest Product Research and Development Project, is pleased to announce an International Conference on Participatory Forest Management, Biodiversity and Livelihoods in Africa to be held on March 19-21, 2007 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The objective of the conference is to bring together experts and practitioners to discuss, debate and present recent findings on a range of issues associated with the establishment of Participatory Forest Management (PFM) as a forest management system. Register Now >>
