Nation celebrates first PFM day
Farm Africa/SOS Sahel Ethiopia Bale Eco Region Sustainable Management Programme (BERSMP) in collaboration with Oromia Forest and Wildlife Enterprise (OFWE) and Frankfurt Zoological Society (FSZ) celebrates the first Participatory Forest Management (PFM) day on December 22, 2012.

Ethiopia to celebrate First PFM Day
Farm Africa/SOS Sahel Ethiopia’s Bale Ecoregion Sustainable Management Programme (BERSMP) in partnership with Oromia Forest and Wildlife Enterprise (OFWE) and Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) is going to celebrate the first Participatory Forest Management (PFM) Day - on December 22, 2012 in Bale Zone of Oromia Regional State.  

MoA to mainstream PFM, states State Minister
Sileshi Getahun, State Minister of Agriculture, said that “it is high time to mainstream PFM into the GTP, CRGE, watershed and Natural Resources Management Programmes by allocating the necessary resources”.

Mobilisation agent
Weddesa Gobena, a member of the Dhugo Koromi Participatory Natural Resources Management Cooperative - established in 2012, played great role in mobilizing the people to organize under forest cooperative. He used to be a Kebele Chairman, a militia and a forest guard.
